If you are a leader, or if you aspire to leadership, then the ability to network effectively and with integrity is an enormously valuable skill to have. Networking is a great way to develop and enhance your leadership potential. It offers the opportunity to connect with people, to build relationships with them and to have them get to know, like and trust you because only then will they do business with you or assist you to develop your career. In fact, the strength of your career development rests on the quality and size of your professional network.
UDIA Vic Women in Property have invited Maree Harris PhD, Leadership Development Coach and Director of People Empowered — Inspiring Leadership for Changing Times to share her experience as a committed and passionate networker. As well as sharing strategies for effective networking, she will talk about how you can develop your platform, profile and reputation – your personal brand – through networking, both internally and externally, and how you can use networking to enhance your leadership aspirations.
PLUS, following Maree’s presentation guests will have the opportunity to put what they learn into practice through a facilitated networking session conducted by Maureen Pound of Boundless Potential. Whether it’s on a professional or personal networking level—you can expect plenty of connections being made. So be sure to bring plenty of business cards.
